Writing the Perfect Article – A How To Guide For The Aspiring Writer

Posted by admin on December 23rd, 2009 under Marketing Tips  •  No Comments

People these days have a lot of trouble writing articles. I think there’s a multitude of different reasons for this but a few which really stick out. Now as someone who has absolutely no problem writing and expressing myself allow me to point of the biggest contributing factors to why some people seem to suffer from a permanent writers block.
The first reason – How are you formatting your articles?
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, formatting is crucial. It’s easier to write down a thought on one small point and keep building up then to try and explain everything at once.
Keep your sentences shorter and 2-3 per paragraph to keep it to the point and easy to read. It’s also a great idea to add in lists, whether with numbers or bullet points.
Why are lists so effective?
• They provide a new dimension to the article, making it more scannable and easier to read
• They organize information very effectively and are right on the bulls eye
Headings can’t be downplayed. They are too important;
Often I see people omit headings, this is another huge error. Why are headings so powerful? Well there’s a few reasons, let’s look them over.
1. Headings give the article another way to quickly look over the information
2. They are a summary of a section allowing the reader to find which one pertains to them
3. Create a more appealing look to the article, more variety which encourages the reader to stay and read through.
So keep working on writing articles, try to implement these techniques into your next article and see if it’s any easier. If you’re still having trouble then look over some of our other posts on how to write articles. Best of luck with your writing!

PPC Management – It’s About More Than Just Choosing Your Keywords

Posted by admin on December 21st, 2009 under Pay Per Click  •  No Comments

A lot of people get into internet marketing for one thing and one thing only – to make more money. Sure there are positive associations with having a lot of money such as more free time, less worries and many more (we could write a hundred pages with them) but none are more motivating then simply creating another income stream while diversifying your investments.
This is what leads people into PPC (pay per click) marketing where competitors will bid on keywords in an effort to get placed in Google searches thus driving traffic to their product. Then with the right preparations in place they can begin to convert the prospects which in turn creates an ROI (return of investment).
If all of this sound’s foreign to you now then don’t worry, let me try and explain it in layman’s terms.

PPC Management

1. When using PPC you will bid on certain keywords, then set up short >50 word ads which will be featured on the side, you can then choose to pay for impressions (every time it’s show) or clicks (every time its clicked).

2. Your ad will link to your lander which will attempt to convert the prospects and get them to buy a product or service (this is where you make your money back)

However what PPC is really about isn’t just picking those pesky keywords (but that’s very important as well). A huge aspect and major player in PPC is how well you can write your ads. Most people struggle with writing powerful, short and to the point ads.
Here are some tips for you to consider next time your writing an ad.

1. You don’t want unnecessary clicks, so always put a price in your ad. That way people who don’t want to spend money won’t click and you won’t be losing your money for their curiosity.

2. A good ad captivates and calls for action. Give them some hope or desire and then lure them in with a
prospective solution.

3. Creating a sense of mystery and illusion is also an efficient tactic.
There are just a few suggestions for you to try out. Try to think outside the box and expand beyond these and add your own personal flair to them. You’ll be surprised at what you can accomplish.

Best of luck.

I won’t bore you with the usual blog information, I’ll discuss some general techniques that are used for SEO placement and getting yourself to that coveted first position.
Here are the basics which you should be using within your site structure right now;
1. All posts should have a proper formatting with keywords in the title, first 50 words and 2% throughout the entire post; this ensures optimal indexing via search engines.
2. Make sure that all pages link to another page, that way spiders will crawl your pages much more effectively this can lead to better rankings as well.
3. Another really big one is the amount of back links to any particular page, make sure that they are matching the keyword promoting via their anchor text (use the keyword).

Of course as most of us know that’s just the tip of the ice berg when it comes to SEO placement. There are so many different theories, concepts and ideas out there plus the fact that Google is always changing their algorithms which is what makes SEO placement such a task.

Don’t feel distraught if you’re unable to pierce through the thick skin at first, it takes a few projects, a few sites to get it going and a steady stream of income set up.

SEO placement DOES take time – so don’t rush it. Slowly build up back links and keep adding new pages for indexing, then start social bookmarking to get a small amount of daily traffic + steady back links.
Within 3-12 weeks you should be able to rank for your keywords with SEO Placement. It takes time and proper planning so make sure you set realistic goals and don’t over shoot your expectations. So good luck with your SEO placement and feel free to share your stories.
